Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its freestanding emergency department in Olathe/Shawnee. You will practice high-quality emergency care in a smaller, community-based setting with a close-knit team and strong leadership.
The role offers day shifts (3 twelve-hour shifts), autonomy, and opportunities to collaborate with hospital councils and nursing initiatives. ER experience required and BLS/ACLS timelines must be met.
We are currently offering a $10,000 sign on bonus for experienced RN's. This bonus is for eligible candidates and cannot be combined with other bonuses or HCA loans/scholarships.
As a Registered Nurse Free Standing Emergency Room - Olathe, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
Our freestanding emergency departments offer experienced emergency nurses the opportunity to continue practicing high-quality emergency care in a smaller, community-based setting. Compared with a large hospital emergency department, the environment often provides a more manageable and predictable patient flow, a close-knit care team, and greater opportunity for individualized patient education and connection. You will continue to use your emergency nursing skills while caring for patients across a wide range of conditions. Because the department operates with a smaller on-site team, nurses also practice with a high level of autonomy, collaboration, and accountability. Patients requiring a higher level of care are stabilized and transferred to the appropriate hospital setting. This may be an ideal opportunity for an experienced emergency nurse who enjoys emergency medicine but is seeking a more focused practice environment with supportive leadership and strong team relationships.
