Job summary

AdventHealth Littleton, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN night shifts. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, administer medications, educate families, and collaborate with a diverse care team to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Salary adjustments up to 20% through Clinical Ladder based on experience and advancement; $10K sign-on for days, $20K for nights, plus relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Registered Nurse)
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and hospital systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and update them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust for patient outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care within the team to ensure quality.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.

• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and their families, addressing their emotional and psychological needs.
• Supervise and delegate care provided by members of the healthcare team to ensure quality and efficiency.

• Respond to code situations promptly and effectively, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients.
