Job summary

Medical City Plano is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool MS PCU. The RN will plan and deliver goal-directed nursing care, advocating for patients and families, while coordinating care with an autonomous, evidence-based practice approach.

The role requires 2+ years in acute care (PCU preferred), TX RN or compact license, ADN with BSN within 24 months of hire, and BLS within 30 days of start. Medical City Plano offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Job Summary and Qualifications - $45.50/base hourly rate

The Registered Staff Nurse is responsible for planning and providing individual goal directed nursing care that promotes, advocates for, and strives to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family and community. The nurse possesses knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the particular skills necessary to provide optimum patient care to the population for which he or she is employed. The RN is accountable for their practice and care coordination. The RN is expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence-based practices. The practice of the Registered Nurse will support the mission, vision and values of Medical City Plano and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.

What qualifications you will need:

• 2+ years of experience in acute care setting; PCU experienced preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
