The Registered Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team working in collaboration with the Physician. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing care process consistent with their license and/or certification including initiation of culturally competent continuum of care including inpatient, outpatient and community settings. The Registered Nurse is responsible to oversee any necessary coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care and provides for its consistency with the medical treatment plan. The patient care process includes:
Licensed and registered care providers responsible for utilizing the care process relative to their scope of practice and knowledge base, may document the assessment, plan, intervention and evaluation. All patient care activities are administered according to standards, procedural guidelines and organizational policy.
The Registered Nurse actively supports performance improvement initiatives and provides leadership to other members of the patient care team. By participating in educational activities, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for continued professional and personal growth.
EDUCATION/LICENSE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi state license required. BLS required. Valid NJ Driver's License is required for all employees in the Adult and Child Partial Programs.
EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

City 2-4 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 2 years emergency room experience preferred.
ACLS required within 6 months of initial assignment and continuously maintained thereafter. All registered professional nurses after 24 months of initial assignment will have completion of ATCN or TNCC. Minimum of 8 contact hours of education every 1 year in basic trauma assessment, intervention and stabilization; PALS or ENPC, with PALS or ENPC provider status attained within 12 months of initial assignment and continuously maintained thereafter.

2-4 years mother/baby experience preferred. NRP (NALS), required within 1 year from date of hire or transfer.
3 years labor and deliver experience preferred. OB certification required
Minimum 1 year medical/surgical experience desired; 1-2 years operating room experience preferred. CNOR preferred.
ACLS preferred.

Medical/Surgical 3 Pines/3 Central 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred. Effective February 18th 2020, ACLS is required for all currently hired employees on 3 Pines. Current Incumbents are required ACLS by December 31st 2021.
Incumbents hired after December 31st, 2021, will have 6 mos from date of hire or transfer to obtain ACLS.

Dialysis Patients with acute or chronic renal failure or chronic renal disease.
Endoscopy Chronic pain management, endoscopic procedures of cardiovascular, GI, pulmonary conditions and disease, etc..
Emergency Department Triage, assess and treat patients of all age presenting for emergency care for all body systems, conditions and diseases including but not limited to: coronary, pulmonary, neuro, skeletal muscular, GI/metabolic, GU/renal, GYN, integumentary, etc..
Intermediate Care Monitored post-surgical care including but not limited to neuro, GI, GU/GYN, peripheral vascular interventions, orthopedic procedures, etc.. Medical diagnoses including but not limited to: cardiac, pulmonary, neuron, GI, VCA/TIA and renal conditions, etc..
Medical Surgical Medical/Surgical diagnoses including but not limited to orthopedic, neuron, GI, GU/GYN, renal, metabolic, pulmonary systems and those requiring isolation/precautions.
Telemetry/Medical/Surgical Cardiac/cardiovascular, neuro, GI conditions and diseases including not limited to: CAD, PVD, COPD, CHF, metabolic disorders, etc.
Telemetry/Stroke Cardiac/cardiovascular, neuron, renal, GI conditions and diseases including but not limited to: CAD, PVD, CVA/TIA, COPD, CHF, metabolic disorders, etc.
Wound Care Ostomy diversion surgeries, wound care, pressure sore/ulcer etc..
