Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery to provide comprehensive nursing care. Role requires independence and collaboration within the care team, following established nursing processes and patient-care standards.

The position features a 7:00 am–7:30 pm schedule, Monday through Friday with every third weekend, and a sign-on bonus. Weekend differentials and market pay adjustments are offered as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months of hire date.
• Certified BLS provider credentialed by the American Heart Association obtained within 3 months of hire date.
• 2 years - Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Education: graduate of an approved RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services using the nursing process.
• Demonstrate clinical competence, compassion, and customer service orientation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains.

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Uses independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrates clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes; and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months (60 days) of hire date or transfer date required.
• Certified BLS provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained with 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or, Certified Instructor.
• 2 years - Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Education: Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
