Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Float team on a full-time, 12-hour night shift.

The primary objective is to improve quality and provide direct and/or indirect patient care using professional nursing skills. Responsibilities include assessing learning needs, documenting assessments and care plans, utilizing the EMR to communicate changes, coordinating transfers, and maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications

• PA RN License required.
• BSN required.
• BLS required.
• Minimum of 3 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs and barriers to learning, incorporating education into daily care.
• Document admissions assessments, plans, interventions and medication use.
• Utilize the information management system to document patient condition changes and communicate with the care team.
• Coordinate transfer of patient responsibility and participate in interprofessional rounds.
• Identify patient needs and refer abuse concerns.
• Include pain management and supportive care in the care plan.
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, clean environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team on the Float team

The primary objective of this position is to improve quality. Responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of patients assigned utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge.

Schedule: Full time 12 hour night shifts

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identify actual or potential barriers to learning and thereby incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural and spiritual values.

• Documents admission assessment / reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitors its effects and outcomes according to policy.

• Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication and documents change in-patients condition to all appropriate individuals. Prioritizes work assignment based on changing situations.

• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds

• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral

• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.

• Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care and by promotes and maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
