The Norfolk Community Services Board (NCSB) provides treatment, support, and education to the community with a focus on mental illness, substance use addiction, and intellectual/developmental disabilities. Norfolk CSB provides services to persons in acute crisis as well as integrated, person-centered, and recovery-oriented programming for persons needing assistance and support stabilizing in the community.
Today, the NCSB provides treatment and rehabilitation services to over 6,000 Norfolk citizens yearly. The NCSB is seeking a Registered Nurse I who provides nursing healthcare services and education within various City of Norfolk departments and programs. Also provides services in the community. Performs intake assessments, administers first aid and medications, screenings and administrative duties, as well as prepares for local disasters. Practices within acceptable standards in accordance with all city, state, and federal requirements. Provides daily nursing oversight of Licensed Practical Nurses in the absence of a Registered Nurse II. This position specifically will be assigned to Float between I-Care, OTP, ACT, CRC, and CAS programs as needed.
Departmental Hiring Salary Range: $71,184 - $81,685
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Registered Nurse (RN) license with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing Science or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
One year of experience as a Registered Nurse. An LPN who has been employed with the City for over one year, and then attains an RN license, would be able to use their prior service as an LPN to count towards the one-year experience requirement.
