Proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective surgical and team management skills. Acts as a professional role model for other members of the surgical team. Is responsible for developing self and team members and sharing organizational information. Works collaboratively with the surgeon and other health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Acquires and maintains the knowledge, judgement and skills specific to the expanded role for clinical practice, and practices at the direction of the surgeon.
