Job summary

Incredible Health in Rome, GA is hiring a Registered Nurse First Assistant to support surgical teams in a fast-paced operating room. The role requires current RN licensure, OR experience, and RNFA certification preferred. Day shifts are available with full-time, part-time, and per diem options.

The RNFA will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Completion of accredited RNFA program with didactic and clinical components.
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience with scrub/circulating duties.
• CRNFA certification from a recognized body preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in OR with exposure, hemostasis, and other duties per surgeon directives.
• Perform preoperative assessments reviewing patient history to plan care.
• Ensure sterilization and preparation of instruments and equipment.
• Provide postoperative care by assessing complications, dressing, and pain management.
• Collaborate with surgical team, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Completion of an accredited RNFA program, including both didactic and clinical components
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience with surgical scrub and/or circulating duties
• Certification as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) from a recognized body preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in the operating room by providing exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions according to the surgeon's directives
• Conduct preoperative assessments, including reviewing patient history, to determine the appropriate plan of care
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and prepared before surgery
• Provide postoperative care by assessing for complications, applying dressings, and offering pain management solutions
• Collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care throughout the surgical process
