BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an experienced RN First Assist (RNFA) to join our compassionate staffing resource office team. BayCare offers a variety of assignment options including:

• System Pool - 13-week full-time assignment for the assigned department - unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available
• Seasonal Pool - 13-week assignment with mileage eligibility - department/hospital-unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available

Summary:

Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) responsibilities include:

• Proficiency in patient care within an effective managerial framework.
• Acting as a professional role model for nursing team members, developing self and others, and sharing organizational information.
• Performing trocar insertion under direct surgeon supervision and injecting local anesthetic as required.
• Preferred minimum of 3 years RN experience in the Operating Room, with current CNOR certification and completion of a Technical Program.

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) certification

Education:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma

• Technical Program Completion or Degree

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years acute care RN Operating Room experience, proficient in robotics, orthopedics, plastics, and general surgery.
