Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a Registered Nurse Field Assessor to conduct Long Term Care insurance assessments. In this role, you will evaluate claimants' functional independence and cognitive abilities, utilizing point of care technology for real-time documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical reasoning and judgment skills, ensuring accurate assessments of activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL). Job description

Summary

This position is not eligible for benefits.

As a Registered Nurse Field Assessor (FA), you would be completing Long Term Care insurance assessments. These hands-off assessments require you to obtain claimant demographics, physician information, a current medication list, and evaluate the claimant’s functional level of independence.

Responsibilities

The assessment process also involves completing a brief cognitive screening and evaluating the claimant’s ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks. The ideal candidate will be technologically savvy and be able to use a point of care web application/system on a laptop or tablet, in real time for documentation purposes.

• Must demonstrate good clinical reasoning and judgement as it relates to assessing ADL performance, cognition, and home safety.
• Must be comfortable with the use of point of care technology when completing assessments.

Education and Experience

• Current, unencumbered RN licensure in state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of home health experience or 2 years nursing experience in an equivalent area of practice serving the older adult population.
• Has, or be willing to obtain, a professional liability insurance policy.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
