TriHealth's Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, OH seeks a part-time Registered Nurse for the EP Lab. You will support complex rhythm-management procedures, monitor patients, and collaborate with the clinical team to deliver high-quality cardiac care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an RN license with an Associate's Degree or Diploma, commitment to obtaining a BSN within 5 years, and eligibility for BLS/ACLS/PALS as required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
• New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• BLS ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit/department.
• Registered Nurse with 3 years clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience in procedural EP, Cath lab, or IR (preferred).
• Demonstrates leadership on the unit and supports student learning.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team members, uses chain of command.
• Evaluates and updates the plan of care with patient/family; documents responses.
• Administers medications and treatments safely; uses equipment correctly.
• Plans care including discharge planning and communicates with team.
• Advocates for ethical decisions and respects patient autonomy.

Job Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the EP Lab at Bethesda North Hospital, you will provide specialized care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures. You will monitor patients closely, assist the clinical team during complex rhythm‑management interventions, and ensure safety throughout each phase of care. In this fast‑paced environment, you’ll use strong critical‑thinking and rhythm‑interpretation skills while supporting high‑quality cardiac care.

Job Requirement

Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing

New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) ACLS/PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department

Evaluates the plan of care for patient based on optimal specific patient outcomes. Documents the patient/family response to care including teaching. Collaborates with the patient/family and with other members of the health care team, including physicians, to revise plan of care as needed. Supervises the care that was delegated to other health care team members.

Implements plan of care for patient. Provides a safe and therapeutic environment while maintaining patient’s autonomy, dignity, and rights. Determines plan of care based on ethical principles as outlined in the TriHealth Code of Ethical Business and Professional Behavior. Acts as a patient advocate. Delivers care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to patient diversity. Seeks available resources to help formulate ethical decisions. Prioritizes the workload according to patient’s needs, requests, and the needs of the unit/facility. Recognizes emergency situations, notifies appropriate personnel, and begins emergency measures.

Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family. Completes initial assessment tool. Documents ongoing assessment per unit/TriHealth guidelines. Communicates assessment findings to other health care providers as appropriate. Includes health counseling and health teaching needs in assessment.

Performs technical skills according to policy and procedure and accepted standards within their area of practice. Safely administers medications/treatments and monitors their effects. Uses all equipment in a safe, appropriate manner.

Plans care for patient and family based on assessment, standards of care, and optimal specific outcomes. Initiates and individualizes appropriate patient care guidelines/plan of care or clinical pathways. Updates current plan of care as needed based on patient/family input and healthcare needs. Develops both short and long term goals with patient/family and healthcare team including discharge planning. Communicates plan of care to others.
