Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy required.
• Current RN License in Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
• Current BLS Certification required.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will understand aseptic technique and apply the knowledge in maintaining a sterile field and assisting in procedures or prepping patients for surgery.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of which areas need to be prepped for different kinds of procedures.
• You will assess the patient prior to surgery, ensure they understand the procedure, and conduct a “timeout” with the perioperative team.
• You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
• You will be accountable for delivering quality nursing care and promoting a positive image of nursing.

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy required.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN License in Texas or Multi-State Compact License (with requirement to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days if applicable).
• Current BLS Certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
