Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care based on the latest evidence, policies, and standards to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, colleagues, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safety.
• Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations electronically at the point of care.
• Educate patients and families to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions and continued care.

Qualifications

• Valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• BSN in progress or willing to obtain within three years of hire.
• At least six months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and demonstrate accountability, teamwork, dedication to education, and high-quality patient care.
• ACLS certification required.
• Preferred: Endoscopy and critical care experience.
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
