AdventHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Burleson, Texas area. The role involves assisting physicians during procedures, maintaining patient safety, and providing comprehensive nursing care. Clinicians must document care accurately and collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure quality outcomes.

The position requires RN licensure (BLS), with ACLS/PALS preferred and 1+ year acute care nursing experience. Endoscopy experience is a plus, CNIM is preferred upon hire.

Job Description

Other duties as assigned.Promotes a healthy and safe environment for patients. Assists physicians and advanced providers during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Recognizes and responds appropriately to changes in patient health status. Collaborates and communicates effectively with the patient and interprofessional team to ensure quality and continuity of care. Acts as a resource and mentor for other staff members. Documents nursing care accurately and completely. Assesses and documents patient health data systematically. Establishes nursing diagnoses based on assessment data. Plans and implements individualized nursing interventions. Provides education to patients, families, and caregivers before, during, and after procedures. Administers and evaluates pharmacological and therapeutic treatments.Evaluates outcomes of nursing interventions and adjust care plans as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to function at a high level in a physically demanding, high-stress environment
• Demonstrated ability to work under stressful conditions
• Ability to work irregular hours including call hours
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft® Word and the ability to navigate Microsoft Windows based programs
• Displays working knowledge of endoscopic techniques
• Experience in critical care environments such as ICU, CCU, PCU, PACU, or similar settings is [Preferred]
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise the plan of care according to patient outcomes
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic documentation is [Preferred]

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ years acute care nursing experience [Required]
• 2+ years endoscopy experience [Preferred]

• CNIM (Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring) Upon Hire Preferred
