The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within scope of practice. Guides patient and family teaching and supervises other nursing personnel while maintaining professional standards in Telemetry. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for patient care in the Emergency Department, communicating changes in clinical condition to physicians, and responding quickly to changes. Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting child/adult abuse is required. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
