Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Provide rapid triage, thorough assessments, and emergency intervention for patients across varying acuities.
• Assist in procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat cardiovascular and emergency conditions.
• Actively monitor cardiac rhythm, heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels during emergency care.
• Promptly identify changes in patient condition and communicate updates to attending physicians and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Administer emergency medications, IV therapies, and diagnostic testing according to facility protocols.
• Prepare emergency procedure areas, maintain strict aseptic fields, and ensure proper handling of specialized equipment.
• Assist with room setup, patient transport, post-procedure care, and infection control standards.
• Educate patients and family members on post-care instructions, catheter insertion site maintenance, and recovery guidelines.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (or active Compact RN license).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, rapid assessment abilities, and emergency intervention skills.
• Ability to transition seamlessly into new clinical teams, facility workflows, and EMR systems.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and commitment to patient safety and dignity.
