Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 7p-7a shift, every third weekend, with a $15,000 bonus eligibility. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process and work with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.

Required are CT licensure, NCLEX passage within 90 days, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Epic experience is highly preferred and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• NCLEX must be passed within 90 days of graduation.
• BLS and ACLS certification required on hire or within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary team.
• Communicates patient clinical condition and responds to changes promptly.
• Applies growth and development principles to deliver age-appropriate care.
• Supports professional practice and nursing standards; reports to Clinical Nurse Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY: Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient -centered care.

• Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.


• Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.


• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.


• Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut. New Graduates will need to pass NCLEX 90 days from graduation date. Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford HealthCare in this role.
