Job summary

Hartford HealthCare seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient-centered care during the 7P-7:30A night shift. You will coordinate with an interdisciplinary team and respond quickly to changes in patient conditions.

The role requires CT licensure, BLS/ACLS certification (ACLS within orientation), and strong written and verbal communication. The organization emphasizes professional growth and high-quality care across all ages.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within orientation period.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford HealthCare in this role.COMPETENCIES:Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language.Possess basic computer skills.
