Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse at our Connecticut facility to provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. You will coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, communicate changes in patient condition promptly, and deliver age-appropriate care across the life span.

This role reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager, offers a three-shift week (11:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m.) with every-other-weekend rotation, and carries a $15K sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with CT licensure.
• New graduates must pass NCLEX within 90 days of graduation.
• BCLS and ACLS certification required on hire or within orientation.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; basic computer skills; Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered nursing care.
• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team.

• Support professional nursing practice and report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.

OR New Graduates will need to pass NCLEX 90 days from graduation date. Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford HealthCare in this role.

COMPETENCIES: Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language. Possess basic computer skills. Epic highly preferred.
