Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse in Connecticut to provide direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will coordinate with the interdisciplinary team and communicate patient status clearly, responding promptly to changes in condition.

The role requires CT RN licensure, BLS and ACLS (or ability to obtain within orientation). Expected schedule includes three 12-hour shifts per week with weekend rotation; a $15K sign-on bonus is eligible.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current CT licensure.
• New graduates may pass NCLEX within 90 days of graduation.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required upon hire or within orientation period.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.

OR New Graduates will need to pass NCLEX 90 days from graduation date. Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford HealthCare in this role.

COMPETENCIES: Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language. Possess basic computer skills. Epic highly preferred.
