Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN in the Free Standing ED provides high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with department standards and scope of practice. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, the RN offers comprehensive, compassionate care using established models. The RN advocates for patients and models the organization’s values to ensure excellent patient experiences and outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Managing personnel, supplies, and equipment according to ED standards.
• Participating in quality improvement activities.
• Performing triage assessments and venipunctures.
• Providing emergency interventions and managing department charges as needed.

Qualifications required:

• Current Texas RN licensure.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (required), Bachelor’s preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/BLLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• One year of Emergency Services experience.
