Job summary

Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital in Chippewa Falls, WI is hiring a Registered Nurse for Emergency/Med/Surg. This full-time or .9 FTE role includes 12-hour night shifts, every third weekend, and holiday rotation.

The RN will cover both ER and the Med/Surg Unit in a growing, nonprofit health system. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care with evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Certification in specialty desired.
• Ideally, minimum of three years practicing as an RN in comparable setting.
• Maintains specialty certification as per department scope.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required depending on department.

Responsibilities

• This RN covers ER and Med/Surg units, providing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
• Professional accountability for quality patient care and adherence to evidence-based practice.

Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital, Chippewa Falls, WI Full-time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period 12-hour night only shifts, every third weekend, holiday rotation

This position will cover both ER and the Med/Surg Unit.

The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.

Experience/Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Certification in specialty desired.
• Ideally, there is a minimum of three years practicing as an RN in comparative setting.
• Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).
• Current Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification may be required based on primary department.

License/Certifications

• Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.

Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic is scheduled to open in September of 2026.
