Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This role focuses on expanding knowledge and skills, providing effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients. The nurse also directs and oversees care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. Additionally, this position coordinates patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire. (Applicable to team members hired on or after November 2019).
• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

Starting Minimum Rate

Starting at $44.24 hourly.
