Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department at our SilverLeaf location. This is a PRN, day shift opportunity.

You will provide safe, evidence-based care to emergency patients and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Requirements include ASN, RN license, BLS; telemetry and ED experience preferred. Additional credentials such as ACLS/CEN/TNCC/NIHSS are welcome.

Qualifications

• ASN is required to practice as a registered nurse.
• RN license required to work in Florida.
• BLS is required; ACLS preferred.
• CEN/TNCC/NIHSS are preferred credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based care to emergency patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinate care with ancillary services
• Serve as a patient advocate
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain high standards of patient safety

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

• Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
