Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will assess, prioritize, and treat patients with urgent and emergent needs while supporting a culture of safety and learning.

Responsibilities include rapid patient assessment, care planning, coordination with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and patient-family education.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork to assess, prioritize, treat, and stabilize patients across varying acuity levels.What You’ll DoDirect Patient CareRapidly assess, prioritize, and provide care for patients with acute and emergent conditionsDevelop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plansDeliver timely interventions to stabilize patients and support positive outcomesCare CoordinationCoordinate patient care in a fast-paced environment to ensure safe and efficient treatmentDelegate and guide assistive personnel appropriatelyCollaboration & CommunicationWork closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver emergency careCommunicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and team membersServe as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and quality at every stepPatient & Family SupportProvide education and discharge instructions tailored to patient needs and comprehensionEngage family members and caregivers in care and transition planning when appropriateQuality & Professional PracticeMaintain required certifications, competencies, and annual educationParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and department trainingSupport a culture of continuous learning and professional developmentPay Range:$37.00 – $95.37The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
