AdventHealth in Lake Placid, Florida, is seeking a Registered Nurse for critical care/ER with opportunities for sign-on and relocation bonuses. Full-time, day shift, competitive benefits. Expected to provide expert patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (Florida) required.
• ED/critical care experience preferred.
• EKG knowledge required.
• Experience with EMR systems (Cerner/EPIC) preferred.

Job Description:

• Up to $15,000 Sign-On Bonus * For Eligible Candidates

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
• EPIC [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
