Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Plainfield, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a full-time 36-hour week. Evening shift 3:00 pm–3:30 am, with every third weekend and rotating holidays, offers competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Nursing (or an associate degree with a Bachelor's within five years), Illinois RN license, and CPR/ACLS/PALS/NIHSS within three months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent with plan to complete bachelor's within five years.
• Illinois RN licensure required.
• CPR (AHA or Red Cross); ACLS, PALS, NIHSS within three months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with state act and hospital policies.
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, document observations.
• Delegate tasks and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet unit goals.

What You Will Do

Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Employ critical thinking, assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, record observations, delegate tasks, and work as a team to meet unit goals. Duties may vary by unit or shift.
