Job summary

SriMatrix health in Chicago is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join the Emergency Department team. You will assess medical needs, determine severity, and provide immediate interventions to stabilize patients, supporting patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• 1–3 years ER nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process and clinical judgment.
• Assess patient needs, plan individualized care, and delegate to support staff.
• Evaluate and document patient responses, revise care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team for timely discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and post-discharge care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process, clinical judgment, and critical thinking to provide comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department.

• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure effective patient care and timely discharge planning.

Education

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or current enrollment in a BSN program (preferred)

Experience

• 1–3 years of Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience (required)

Licenses & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Illinois (required)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications (required)
• SANE Certification and ability to take call (preferred)
