Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks dedicated registered nurses to provide leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate patient care across a broad care continuum. Nurses will utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care, while effectively communicating with patients, families and the health care team.

The role emphasizes quality assurance, research participation and shared governance to improve patient outcomes and patient-family education.

Qualifications

• RN license in Michigan required or through state nursing board.
• BSN degree preferred by the employer.

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification (BCLS).
