Job summary

Novant Health’s new Clements Ferry Emergency Department in Charleston, SC is a 24/7 freestanding ED offering advanced imaging and on-site lab services. This full-time (36 hours) role supports a collaborative care environment and opportunities to shape patient care from day one.

We seek an RN with 3+ years ER nursing experience, current unrestricted license, and completion of orientation. BLS/ACLS/PALS are required; NRP preferred and TNCC within a year. Float to other units as needed.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license.
• 3+ years of emergency nursing experience.
• Successful completion of nursing service orientation program.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• NRP preferred (provided during training if not currently certified).
• TNCC required within one year of hire.
• IV therapy competency within one year.
• Annual participation in Skills Fair and completion of required competencies.
• Specialty certification and/or participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and/or indirect nursing care under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse.
• Delivers safe, effective, and professional nursing care to assigned patients.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the healthcare needs of patients.
• Cares for a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatrics (unless otherwise specified).
• Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintains a customer-focused approach and supports department goals.
• Delivers nursing care aligned with established practice standards and clinical guidelines.
• Must be willing and able to float to comparable nursing units as needed.

What We‘re Looking For:
