Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on the night shift. You will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, and collaborate with physicians and support staff to stabilize patients in a busy ED.

The role requires involvement in ED flow, adherence to safety standards, and ongoing professional development; self-scheduling is available, and full-time benefits apply.

Formación

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure (Diploma/AD).
• ACLS within 90 days; TNCC within 18 months; PALS/ENPC within 6 months.
• BLS: not initiating patient contact until completed; NIHSS within 90 days.
• ED-focused clinical skills and ability to manage rapid patient turnover.

JOB SUMMARY

• Registered Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Registered Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Due to the broad range of medical conditions they encounter, they must be well-verse in a large variety of health conditions.
• Registered Nurses have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys and improvement initiatives. In addition, Registered Nurses must uphold the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
• Emergency Department Registered Nurses provide care for patients of all ages and acuity. Patients present to the Emergency Department with a wide variety and/or combination of illnesses and injuries at varying and unpredictable paces. Emergency Department census, acuity, and surges demand continuous prioritization of both patients and nursing interventions by the Registered Nurse to maintain safe and efficient care.
