Job summary

Qualifications

Patients present to the Emergency Department with a wide variety and/or combination of illnesses and injuries at varying and unpredictable paces. Emergency Department census, acuity, and surges demand continuous prioritization of both patients and nursing interventions by the Registered Nurse to maintain safe and efficient care.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Registered Nurse

ACLS: prior to completion of unit orientation

TNCC: within 18 months of hire

ENPC and/or PALS: prior to completion of unit orientation

NIHSS: prior to completion of unit orientation
