Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Bridgton Hospital seeks an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced team delivering high-quality patient care. The role offers 12-hour shifts, full-time status, and a pay range of $36.00–$49.16 per hour, plus a sign-on bonus for experienced RNs and eligibility for new graduates.

You will provide direct patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure safety and privacy while navigating a busy acute care environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year ER staff nurse experience in acute care setting.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry and ED.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes to physicians with results of tests and symptoms.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; ensure EMTALA compliance.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the Emergency Department. He / She communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient's clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. 6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.7. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

1. In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current. 2. EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.3. Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current.4. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.

Pay Transparency

Bridgton Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $36.00 to $49.16 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
