Job summary

Mercy Medical Center is actively seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team in Baltimore. The ED RN provides first-line, evidence-based care to both adult and pediatric patients requiring urgent attention in a dedicated ED setting.

You will triage, observe, monitor, and treat patients while collaborating with a skilled ED team. A BSN is preferred, with licensure and ongoing certification requirements met upon hire and during employment.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS upon hire.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• ENPC or PALS within 1 year of hire.
• BSN preferred; must be graduate of an accredited nursing program; must pass State Board licensure exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult and pediatric ED patients.
• Perform triage, observation, monitoring, diagnostics and treatment.
• Serve as resource to ED team and ensure high-quality, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

Our Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department independently provide care to adult and pediatric patients requiring immediate medical attention. Working with a dedicated ED team, the Registered Nurse provides evidence-based, high quality care, including, but not limited to triage, patient observation, monitoring and diagnostic testing and treatment, and serves as a resource for other team members.

Specialty Certifications:ED- ACLS within 6 months of hire/promotion & ENPC or PALS within 1 year

Education and Work Experience:BSN Preferred Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam Must obtain 20 Contact hours per year, fifty percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1:1 credit hour exchange. Must possess 1 year of current clinical experience.

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
