Job summary

Graduates from an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in Missouri or a compact state may apply. BLS is required, with several unit-specific certifications potentially needed depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care
• Maintains professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
• Coordinates patient care with other departments
• Ensures patient rights and confidentiality of information
• Performs duties in alignment with Mercy Service Standards
