Mercyhealth is seeking a registered nurse to provide safe, high-quality clinic care. You will assess patients, administer medications, create care plans, educate patients and families, and document care accurately.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, mentor peers, and participate in performance improvement to enhance patient flow and outcomes.
This role provides safe, high-quality nursing care by assessing patients, giving medications and treatments, creating care plans, educating patients and families, and working with the healthcare team. It also involves accurate documentation, handling complex patient situations, improving care processes, mentoring and peer support, and continuing professional education while helping maintain efficient patient flow in clinic settings. SCHEDULE: 40-hours per week SHIFT: Days
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred. May require specific years of applicable experience to qualify per department guidelines
Illinois: 10 hours of continued education as required for IL licensure
Licensed as an RN in state of practice. Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days. Other certification or certifications per unit requirements. For example: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and NRP
May include color blind test per department guidelines
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Supervises nursing support staff as appropriate
