Job summary

UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton, NC, is hiring an Emergency Department Nurse Educator to lead nursing education programs and clinical training. You will inspire current and future nurses through innovative teaching methods and hands-on experiences within a high‑quality care environment.

The role requires an active RN license in North Carolina, at least two years of clinical experience, and a BSN. An MSN or Nursing Education degree is preferred, with teaching experience and a plan to complete

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing with at least two years of clinical experience in the practice area.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or Health Care Administration preferred.
• Two years of teaching experience preferred.
• MSN must be achieved within 3 years of hire date if not completed.
• Evidence of nursing competencies (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, etc.) must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Educate and mentor nursing staff and students through innovative teaching methods and hands-on clinical training.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape the future of nursing education.
• Support ongoing professional development and competency validation.

Must show and maintain evidence of nursing competencies within practice area, including certificates required for area of practice (i.e., BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, etc.).
