Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a registered nurse to provide holistic nursing care in a VA setting. The role requires an active U.S. RN license and eligibility to participate in the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).

Position covers day and night shifts with on-site responsibilities and coordination with VA centers to ensure timely, high-quality veteran care. Prior VA nursing experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program and licensed as an RN in the United States.
• Registered nurse with state licensure and eligible for VA nurse grade progression.

Responsibilities

• Provides full range of nursing services using the nursing process.
• Administers prescribed therapies with nursing judgment.
• Promotes discharge planning and follow-up care.
• Educates patients and families and participates in care coordination.
• Works with VA facilities and contractors to ensure veteran access to care.
