Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks registered nurses for positions eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). The appointee must meet VHA policy requirements, maintain current licensure, and demonstrate the education and experience standards for Nurse I–III grades.

The EDRP supports student loan repayment and eligibility periods are determined after review. Basic requirements include English proficiency, graduation from an approved nursing program, and active state RN

Qualifications

• English proficiency for direct patient care as required by policy.
• Graduate of a professional nursing program with required accreditation.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN licensure in the United States.
• Awareness of accreditation standards (ACEN/CCNE) and licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fundamental, knowledge-based nursing care to assigned patients.
• Demonstrate leadership in patient care planning and collaboration with teams.
• Maintain licensure and comply with VA qualification standards.
