Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced registered nurse for night shifts in the Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital – W Memorial Rd. This full-time position offers 36 hours per week and focuses on delivering patient-centered care through the nursing process.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and maintain Mercy Service Standards while advancing professional accountability. BLS certification and active RN license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains accountability for the care of assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and upholds patient rights and confidentiality.
• Operates in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and service standards.

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure

• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe.
