Job summary

KPC Global Medical Centers Inc. seeks a Staff RN in the Emergency Department. You will be responsible for assessment, treatment and care of patients across all ages under the direction of the Director of the Emergency Department.

Preferred BSN and a minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience; California RN license and BLS required; ACLS and PALS must be completed within 90 days of hire; CEN preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current California RN license and BLS certification.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire or status change; PALS within 90 days of hire or status change; and Violence Prevention & De-Escalation certification within 90 days of hire or status change.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and care for patients across all ages in the Emergency Department.
• Perform duties as assigned by leadership and department needs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This job may require the employee to be responsible for the assessment, treatment or care of patients of all ages, including neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Consequently, the employee must be competent in the interpretation of a patient’s self-report or behavior and this information must be interpreted with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process. The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred, BSN preferred. A minimum of two years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a current California RN license and BLS certification. ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire or status change, PALS certification required within 90 days of hire or status change, and Violence Prevention & De-Escalation certification required within 90 days of hire or status change. CEN preferred.
