Job summary

KPC Global Medical Centers Inc. in Victorville, CA seeks a Staff RN for the Emergency Department to provide patient-centered care across all ages, from neonate to geriatric.

The role requires CA RN licensure and BLS, with ACLS, PALS, and Violence Prevention & De-Escalation training to be completed within 90 days of hire; a BSN is preferred.

Experience in acute care is preferred and the RN will work under the Director of Emergency Department, performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• RN license in California and BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Violence Prevention & De-Escalation certifications due within 90 days of hire.
• CEN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and care for patients of all ages in the ED.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This job may require the employee to be responsible for the assessment, treatment or care of patients of all ages, including neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Consequently, the employee must be competent in the interpretation of a patient’s self-report or behavior and this information must be interpreted with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process. The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred, BSN preferred. A minimum of two years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a current California RN license and BLS certification. ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire or status change, PALS certification required within 90 days of hire or status change, and Violence Prevention & De-Escalation certification required within 90 days of hire or status change. CEN preferred.
