Job summary

Catawba Valley Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional nursing care and to make nursing care decisions using the nursing process. The role requires collaboration with other health care professionals to meet patient needs and to work within CVMC policies, procedures and bylaws while complying with the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act.

Preferred candidates hold a BSN and will be expected to complete required certifications within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
• BCLS certification; if not from AHA, an AHA certification within three months.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care and makes appropriate nursing care decisions using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with other health care professionals to meet patient needs.
