Job summary

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in surgical services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proven track record of maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Proficient in budget management and resource allocation.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and departments.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all staff within the Surgical Services department, including nurses, surgical technicians, and support staff
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements
  • Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer and other department heads to develop and implement strategic plans for the department
  • Oversee the budget for the Surgical Services department and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to staff members
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in surgical techniques and technology, and implement new practices as appropriate
  • Act as a liaison between the Surgical Services department and other departments within the organization
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for all staff members

Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Director to lead our Surgical Services department in Las Vegas, NV.
