Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Detox Unit Registered Nurse for per diem coverage in Reno, NV. The RN will provide safe, compassionate care in a medical/telemetry setting and support patient-centered care practices within the Detox Center.

Responsibilities include coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, assessing psychosocial and educational needs, and contributing to a secure, therapeutic environment while maintaining service excellence.

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• Current BLS certificate required.
• One year full-time or three years part-time experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 6225 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer adult behavioral health services.

The Detox Center will be managed through a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists. Patients will experience an individualized care plan, inclusive of individual and family therapy, activities, medication management, and a 24-hour secure, compassionate environment.

This Registered Nurse opportunity is per diem and a convenient schedule. We are looking for a dynamic Detox Unit Registered Nurse that will help provide safe and compassionate care to our patients in the medical/telemetry environment. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
