An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic nurses to join our dynamic Dermatology Team based at FGH.

This is a developing service, and we are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals. Ideally, you would have a background in Dermatology; however, we welcome applications from all interested candidates.

We are looking for Registered Nurses who deliver compassionate, professional, skilled, and effective person-centred, evidence-based nursing care by working within a multidisciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs-based care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Main duties of the job

We aim to achieve the best possible outcomes and experiences for our patients and staff. We seek nurses with these qualities to continue delivering the excellent care we strive to provide daily.

You will be based at RLI but may be required to travel across the bay. You will be trained to carry out Nurse-Led Clinics such as phototherapy and patch testing and will be involved in developing the Dermatology service across the Morecambe Bay area.

About us

We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal. We also have several community healthcare premises, including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and RLI offer a range of general hospital services, including full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides general hospital services along with an Urgent Treatment Centre for non-life-threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three hospitals provide planned care, including outpatient services, diagnostics, therapies, day cases, and inpatient surgery. We also offer a range of outreach services and diagnostics across Morecambe Bay.
