Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a casual, daytime RN to join Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Work schedule: M-F daytime hours, with on-call after hours; casual employees work on an ‘as needed’ basis to meet the needs of the business.

You will provide age-appropriate nursing care, perform assessments, develop plans, implement interventions, evaluate outcomes, and communicate SBAR changes; collaborate with providers and the care team to ensure quality,

Qualifications

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care per patient needs.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments for discharge planning.
• Develop and update individualized care plans and goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate care specific to the age of the customer/patient, to ensure understanding and comfort level of treatment as outlined in the Population Specific Criteria.
• Perform an initial and ongoing assessment to determine the assigned patient’s ongoing nursing care needs.
• Develop/review/revise and individualize the plan of care to address the patient’s nursing care needs.
• Implement interventions that are consistent with the established plan of care in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Evaluate patient care to determine response to care/interventions for optimal patient outcome.
• Perform technical skills competently and independently to assure patient safety.
• Maintain professional behavior and effective communication with the care team.
