Job summary

Baptist Health, Downtown Jacksonville, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Day Stay Unit. You will provide peri-operative care across PreOp and Phase 2 recovery, supporting a fast-paced environment with 50–60 cases per day.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of Surgical Services Nursing experience, active RN licensure, and certifications such as BLS and ACLS. This part-time role offers hands-on patient care in a respected faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years surgical services nursing experience.
• Active RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher required.
• Proficient in coordinating peri-operative patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise care by staff.
• Involve patients and families in developing an individualized care plan.
• Coordinate room/case setups and assess care needs.
• Work in a fast-paced peri-operative unit (PreOp and Phase 2).
• Manage high patient volume (50–60 cases/day).

Baptist Downtown is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Day Stay Team in Jacksonville, FL.

This is a part time position.

As an RN in the Day Stay Unit, you will be responsible for:

• Assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
• Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case
• This is a fast paced peri-operative unit, specializing in PreOp and Phase 2 recovery.
• Patient volume can be 50-60 cases/day.

Experience Requirements

• 2-3 years Surgical Services Nursing Experience Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
• Associate of Science, Nursing
