Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care for assigned patients. You will apply the nursing process to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, supporting the hospital mission and patient-centered goals.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN license or eligibility, BLS certification, and at least six months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other education process.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients and family members and evaluates understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Works with accountability for performance and professional growth and development.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
